Before you lift off on that bod-building journey, take a read on our top tips to help you hulk up.

Getting those gains is no walk in the park. But beyond just slaying the gym floor and putting those hours in, it’s important to get the 411 to make the most out of your days blazing up the gym floor. Keep scrolling for our top tips.

Perform multi-joint exercises

There’s nothing quite like resistance training to build some lean mass. Make the most of your workouts by packing in big, compound moves like the squat, bench press, lunge, and pull-up.

Compound exercises train many muscles at once and allows you to lift heavier, so you can make your beast mode workouts more effective.

Eat more protein

Building those muscles isn’t just about hustling in the gym, but doing right in the kitchen. To get those gains showing, you’re going to have to go heavy on the protein. It’s what you need to promote muscle repair, recovery and growth since amino acids (the building blocks of protein) are necessary to build muscle tissue.

Don’t just lift heavy

Vary your workouts and keep your body guessing. Change things up and lay on those challenges so your body doesn’t adapt to your workouts. Face off explosive exercises that trains endurance like sprinting and dabble in the low-weight, high-rep work to help target all your muscles differently.

Get enough sleep

As a star, your beauty sleep is important. Let your body shut down for a minimum of 7 hours a night. Partying too hard into the night can cause you to rack up the sleep debt, which can put the brakes on your muscle growth and recovery.

Increase weight responsibly

Know your limits. Don’t go slaying the weights too hard or you’ll run the risk of an injury. But don’t go too slow either, for your results won’t show. If you need help picking the right weight, give a shout to any of our StarMakers on the floor.

Allow time for recovery

Give your body the rest it needs. Take at least one to two days off per week to allow your muscles to fully recover.

Now that you’ve loaded up on tips, it’s time to get the gym floor blazing. Put your game face on and keep at it. Be focused, patient and consistent and you’ll be looking and feeling sensational in no time.
